Salman summoned to appear in Jodhpur court on March 7
19-December-2019
The Jodhpur district and session court on Thursday summoned Bollywood star Salman Khan to appear in the court on March 7 in connection with blackbuck hunting case.
While hearing the case, District and Session Judge Chandra Kumar Songara asked, "Where is the accused?" On this, Salman's lawyer Hastimal Saraswat said we would produce him as you summon.
On this, he said Salman had not been appearing in the court since long, he should be present on the next hearing on March 7.
Salman, on April 5, 2018, was handed a 5-year rigorous imprisonment in the blackbuck hunting case during the shooting of a film. He was given bail after he spent two days in jail.
Salman has pleaded relief from regular appearances in the court during the bail hearings. But the court didn't issue any order in this direction.
Last year, the court acquitted film stars Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam and one local Dushyant from all charges.
All five of them were issued fresh notices by the Rajasthan High Court following the state government's appeal against the acquittal.IANS
