15 electrocuted in Rajasthan bus mishap

At least 15 people were killed and over 20 suffered burn injuries when a bus carrying a wedding party came in contact with a high tension wire in Rajasthan's Tonk district on Friday, police said.
The people were travelling from Bachera to Morla village in the district.
"The incident occurred at around 3.15 in the afternoon when a bus carrying a wedding party of over 50 people came in contact with a high tension live wire near Saans village," a police official told IANS.
"At least 15 died on the spot while 35 were admitted in a nearby hospital. The condition of some is critical," he added.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje expressed grief over the incident and rushed a team of her cabinet colleagues to the area.
An ex-gratia of Rs.500,000 to the next of the kin of the deceased was announced by the electricity department.- IANS
