UB plans pan-India presence of its craft beer in 6 months

United Breweries (UB), which recently forayed in the craft-styled beer segment, plans to sell the product across major markets in the country in the next six months.
The company on Thursday launched the Kingfisher Ultra Witbier its first non-lager beer, starting with sales in Karnataka and Goa would be the next market.
The new beer by the Bengaluru-headquartered brewer is a made of extracts of orange and coriander, spices sourced from Belgium and aromatic hops sourced from the US.
Debabrata Mukherjee, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), United Breweries, said that the company started commercial sale of the product in a phased manner in Haryana, Maharasthra and Delhi.
"In the next three to six months we should be available across the country," he said.
The craft-styled beer is brewed with the authentic Belgian wheat beer recipe.
As per the company, Kingfisher Ultra Witbier is available in three sizes, a 330ml bottle, a 500ml can and a 650ml bottle.
