We need more films on social awareness: Telugu director
17-November-2012
Telugu director C.S.R. Krishnan, who is awaiting the release of upcoming comedy-thriller "Bakara", feels there's a need for films that can make audience socially conscious.
"Most of the times, films are a reflection of the society we live in. But, sadly we resort to showing only what is entertaining and crowd-appealing, and refrain from showing reality. We need more films that will make us socially responsible," Krishnan told IANS.
Krishnan's "Bakara", a satirical take on how people are conned in our society on a daily basis, stars Sri Hari, Yashika, Brahmanandam, M.S. Narayana, Raghu Babu, Duvvasi Mohan and Kallu Krishna Rao.
The film, which releases in the first week of December, has music by Rohit Kulkarni and cinematography by Vijayasri. - IANS
