Class 10 CBSE results: Girls outperform boys

Girls pipped boys in the Class 10 results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exam that were announced here on Thursday, official said.
The percentage of girls who qualified for higher class is 97.82, while for boys it was 96.98.
A total of 94,474 students scored 10 CGPA (cumulative grade points average). Of these 49,392 were boys, and 45,082 were girls.
In Delhi, 8,026 students scored 10 CGPA.
There was a drop in the overall pass percentage this year, which was 97.32 as compared to the 98.87 in the 2014.
The overall percentage of candidates qualifying for admission in higher class in Thiruvananthapuram region is 99.77, which is the highest among all regions.
The total number of registered candidates was 13,73,853 - an increase of 3.37 percent over 2014 figure. - IANS
