L&T arm wins avionics contract from Airbus

Engineering construction major L&T's technology services arm on Monday said it has won a contract from global aerospace major Airbus India to manage its avionics software development, validation, verification and data analytics.
"The win from Airbus reaffirms our years of expertise in the aviation space and investment in technologies," said the city-based L&T Technology Services in a statement here.
The subsidiarya's domain expertise includes international traffic in arms compliance and Cemilac certified facilities, a global customer base, lab and testing infrastructure and strategic alliances with Fortune firms.
Cemilac (Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification) is the Indian state-run regulator for certifying military aircraft with weaponisation.
"The new-age opportunities in aviation sector call for new ideas, evaluation of best-fit technology solutions and capability to accelerate business growth through innovation. Airbus India arm has chosen us to deliver on all these aspects. We look forward to co-developing innovations in the aviation space and ushering in newer benchmarks of industry excellence," said company Chief Operating Officer Abhishek Sinha in the statement.-IANS
