PM's gift to South Korean president: Poem by Tagore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday presented South Korean President Park Geun-Hye with two finely woven pashmina stoles inscribed with a poem by Rabindranath Tagore.
The poem, written specially for Korea, is hand-embroidered in English and Korean.
The text of Tagore's poem that was published in 1929 in the Korean daily Dong-A Ilbo is:
In the golden age of Asia
Korea was one of its lamp bearers
And that lamp is waiting
To be lighted once again
For the illumination of the East
Modi reached Seoul on Monday on a two-day visit on the last leg of his three-nation tour which also took him to China and Mongolia.
He addressed the Indian community in Seoul after which he was accorded a ceremonial welcome by Park.
