One militant killed in encounter in Bandipore, J&K

One militant was killed in an ongoing encounter in Vijhara area of Bandipore, North Kashmir, the police said.

The encounter, which started late in the Sunday afternoon, is a joint operation by the police and the Army.

There was an input about the presence of a group of three Lashkar militants in the area which led to the encounter.

The identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.IANS
