Kerala Muslim organisations welcome Ayodhya order

Muslim organisations in Kerala have welcomed the historic judgement of the Supreme Court in the Ayodhya title dispute case.
Supreme leader of the Indian Union Muslim League, the second biggest ally of the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF), Hyderali Shihab Thangal said that they accept the verdict.
"There should be no disturbances based on the verdict. All should show restraint and peace should prevail. We are meeting on Monday to discuss the verdict and then all aspects will be looked into," said Thangal.
Sayyid Ibrahimul Khaleel Al Bukhari, general secretary of Kerala Muslim Jamath and chairman of Malappuram based Madin Academy said that all should uphold the essence of the apex court verdict so as to project the unity of our country.
Kanthapuram A.P Abubacker Musliyar, General Secretary of the All India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama, said it's everybody's responsibility for peace to prevail in the country and hence accept the verdict.
In a unanimous judgement, a 5-member Supreme Court Bench, headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, said the Sunni Waqf Board, which was a party to the title suit, should be given an alternate land somewhere else in Ayodhya to build a mosque.
The disputed land of 2.77 acre has been given to the Hindus.
The Centre will make suitable provisions by handing over the land to the trust, the top court said.
In Kerala, Muslims constitute 19 per cent of total population of 34 million.IANS
