'Outsiders' not allowed in fortress Ayodhya
09-November-2019
All entry points to Ayodhya have been sealed and the authorities are not allowing even two-wheelers and "outsiders" to enter the temple town.
Almost all shops and businesses establishments in Ayodhya and neighbouring city Faizabad remained closed on Saturday as a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court pronounced its verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute.
The Senior Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate conducted an aerial survey of the town on Saturday. "Everything will become normal soon," said Faizabad District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Jha.
Meanwhile about two dozen people gathered at Ram Janmabhooi temple for 'darshan'.
The main litigant from Hindu side, Triloki Nath Pandey, said: "The exile of Lord Ram has ended. We have no objection to build the mosque, but we will not allow any mosque to be built in the name of Babur."IANS
