Global software major Infosys opened its digital innovation centre at Dusseldorf in Germany on Friday to support its European clients and train its local staff.
"The centre will facilitate our clients migration to the digital platform and help us to hire Germans to bridge the gap in IT skills across Europe," the city-based IT vendor said in a statement here.
Dusseldorf is about 570km southwest of German capital Berlin.
The centre will also help us work closely with clients in the region in their digital transformation journey, while focusing on next-generation business suites, such as SAP HANA and cloud-based services, Internet of Things, 5G, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
"The centre will also serve as a link between businesses and leading educational institutions in Germany, supporting our mission to develop and train work force to solve the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) skills gap in the region," Infosys Chief Operating Officer (COO) U.B. Pravin Rao said on the occasion.IANS
