23-October-2019
The Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal R.K.S. Bhadauria will visit Oman to witness the ongoing joint air exercise between India and Oman, defence ministry officials said here on Wednesday.
This is the fifth bilateral Indo-Oman joint exercise, 'Eastern Bridge' between the Indian Air Force and the Royal Air Force of Oman. The exercise is being conducted at the Masirah Air Base in Oman.
The upgraded versions of India's MiG 29 aircraft are participating in the exercise with Eurofighter Typhoon, Hawk and F-16 of Oman.
"The visit of CAS will consolidate the military ties between Oman and India, provide an impetus towards defence cooperation and pave the way for greater interaction between the Air Forces," said a statement from the IAF.IANS
