Rahul accuses Modi government of privatising PSUs
17-October-2019
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday mounted attack on the Narendra Modi government, accusing it of privatising the public sector units to his "suit boot friends". Rahul said that he stands shoulder to shoulder with the government employees to protest against it.
Rahul Gandhi also likened Prime Minister Narendra Modi as 'Bechendra Modi' (referring to a sales person).
"Bechendra Modi is distributing this country's PSUs to his suit boot friends, which this country built over years with hard work. At this time of uncertainty and fear of millions of PSU employees, I stand shoulder to shoulder with all those employees protesting against this privatisation," he tweeteed in Hindi.
The former Congress President also attached a cartoon with his tweet mocking at the Prime Minister, referring him as a salesman trying to sell the debt-ridden Air India, BPCL and the country.
