IAF chopper makes 'precautionary landing' in Karnataka

An Indian Air Force (IAF) chopper, flying to take part in an air show in Karnataka, had to make a "precautionary landing" on way on Wednesday.
As per sources, the Mi 17 chopper made the landing near Srirangapatna in Karnataka. The reasons behind the precautionary landing are being ascertained, the sources added.
"It was a precautionary landing. There were a few IAF personnel on board the Mi 17. All of them are safe," said an IAF spokesperson.
A single-engine Cheetah helicopter belonging to the Indian Army had crashed last week in Bhutan. killing both pilots. The crash, which took place during a training sortie, killed Lt Col Rajneesh Parmar of Indian Army and his co-pilot, Captain Kalzang Wangdi of the Royal Bhutan Army.IANS
