MP flood politics: Shivraj sings in protest, Cong says 'drama'
22-September-2019
The Congress on Sunday termed as 'drama' a sit-in staged by former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Mandsaur seeking compensation for the farmers affected by floods in the area.
Addressing the people at the dharna site, Chauhan lashed out at state's Kamal Nath government for its apathy to the problems of the people in Mandsaur and Neemach, and in the evening sat there singing devotional songs.
A video of Chouhan singing has gone viral on the social media. Sharing the video on Twitter, former Congress minister Subhash Kumar Sojatia wrote: "Thousands of people were devastated and rendered homeless due to the floods in Mandsaur and Neemach recently. But the clowns who were talking about their rights through the day are now serenading themselves with song, dance and qawwalis, while their party MPs like Sudhir Gupta are showering money on them."IANS
