Tihar jail inmate, who attempted suicide, dies

A Tihar jail inmate, who tried to commit suicide earlier this week, died on Friday, said the jail administration.
The inmate, identified as Gufran, was admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital on September 17 after he allegedly attempted suicide by hanging himself inside the jail premises.
Tihar jail spokesperson Raj Kumar told IANS, "Gufran, 30, a resident of New Mustafabad area of North Delhi was an undertrial. Criminal cases were registered against him in Khajuri Khas and Dayalpur police stations."
His family members have been informed about his death.IANS
