Multi-party delegation to visit US ahead of Modi's trip

A multi-party delegation is slated to visit the US ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address at the UN General Assembly on September 27.
The delegation includes senior political leaders including former Minister Manish Tewari, Congress leader Jaiveer Shergil, BJP's Rajiv Pratap Rudy and the Shiv Sena's Priyanka Chaturvedi.
The delegation will leave on Tuesday and are scheduled to visit Washington D.C. and New York.
Tewari said that the ORF and Heritage Foundation were jointly organizing a conference to facilitate interaction with the US and Indian policy makers.
Shergil said that purpose of the visit was to deliberate upon Indo-US relations and also the changing dynamics of South Asia. He will be speaking at the University of Columbia on the topic of the impact of technology on democracy.IANS
