FM may release sops for realty, export sectors

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to announce further relief measures for the economy on Saturday to reverse the current economic slowdown.

Though the agenda of her conference is not detailed, sources said that the focus of the announcements could be on measures to boost the realty and export sectors.

The Finance Minister has been meeting industry captains and economists across the nation to take stock of the economic situation.

Earlier, she had announced the merger of 10 public sector banks into four and withdrew higher surcharge on FPIs and domestic investors.IANS
