Maoists slit BJP leader's throat for being 'informer'

Maoists have killed a BJP leader by slitting his throat in Ladaiyatand police station area of Munger district. The police recovered the corpse from a nearby forest on Friday.
According to a police official, Dinesh Koda (42), a resident of Satgharwa area, was found dead in the forest. A letter of banned Maoist outfit Communist Party of India (Marxist) was found near the body.
The Maoists have claimed in the letter that the deceased was extorting money in the name of the outfit, was providing information to the police and threatening people.
Koda was the district unit chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party's SC/ST front.
Munger Police Inspector Gaurav Mangla said the police is probing every possible angle to the murder.
Koda was an erstwhile Maoist but had quit and was leading a normal life.IANS
