A 51-year-old official deputed to the Defence Security Corps (DSC) allegedly shot himself inside the DRDO complex in the Civil Lines area of North Delhi, the police said on Tuesday.
Hardeep Singh, a native of Punjab, shot himself on Tuesday morning with his service rifle. However, no suicide note was found, the police said.
The DSC provides security cover to Defence installations.
"We received a call around 10 a.m. A team was rushed to the spot and found Singh lying with a bullet wound. The police rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead," said a senior police officer.IANS
