J.J. Valaya launches his annual couture collection
08-September-2019
Ace designer J.J. Valaya has launched his 2019 annual couture collection titled 'Tabriz'.
Inspired by the Persian aesthetic during the 16th-19th century, the collection was showcased on Saturday at The Imperial Hotel here.
Amid a grand set that resembled the era, Valaya presented his line-up that comprised wedding and occasion wears for both men and women.
Models walked the ramp wearing heavy-embellished lehengas, sarees, skirts with peplum blouses, sherwanis and bandhagalas in colours ranging from red, blue, yellow and black. Waist belts paired with sarees and sherwanis were also spotted.
The bridal wear saw a range of quintessential bridal lehengas in traditional colours like red which Valaya accessorised with heavy jewellery.
