While the police were "on the hunt" for Haryana's most dreadful criminal Vikram Gujjar, also called Papla, he was busy earning friends and followers with his posts of criminal boasts and devilry on the Facebook.

Papla, who escaped from Rajasthan jail premises on Friday with the help of his accomplices by attacking the Behror police station, had continuously been posting his pictures and posts on his Facebook page.

Even the Rs 1 lakh award on his head, announced by the Haryana Police, didn't deter him.

The "social media-friendly criminal" often posted terror tales accompanied by his pictures with AK-47 and other weapons. He has around 5,000 friends, who have been liking and commenting on his pictures.

There is also a fan page named as 'Papla Gujjar ke fan' page. Gujjar can be seen with most modern weapons in these pictures, posted at regular intervals by him and his gang at his Facebook page.

His picture holding AK-47 has been liked by 322 on this page and has also been shared on other pages of his fans. Fifty-eight fans commented on his picture, praising his approach.

Another picture of Gujjar holding latest gun with his companion Sumit Katesra has been liked by over 1,000 fans.

Surprisingly, most of his pictures were posted in 2018.

In one of his boasts, Gujjar says, even a small thief can escape from a jail, but for big criminal acts one needs strong heart (Re Badmaashi Khatir Jigar Chahiye, Jail to Chor bhi Kaat le sai). Jai Mahakal!.

In another post, the dreaded gangster says, "my name is enough to scare. If I myself come, there shall be destruction around (Hamara to nam hi kaafi hai, hum khud aa gaye to tabahi much jayegi).

On his reign of terror, Gujjar says in an another post, no one dare testify against me, people are scared of taking even my name (Gawaahi ki baat to door hai, log naam lene se bhi dare hain)

Police sources said Gujjar and his gang were active in Mahendragarh and had committed seven murders, a large number of dacoities, kidnapping, rape and extortions in Rajasthan and Haryana.IANS
