Collegium for making 3 Allahabad HC judges permanent

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended appointment of three additional judges of the Allahabad High Court as Permanent Judge of the High Court.
The Collegium headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi on September 5 has recommended that Justices Irshad Ali, Neeraj Tiwari and Virendra Kumar-II be appointed as Apermanent judges in the Allahabad High Court.
The collegium said that on overall assessment based inter alia on additional information received from the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, observations made by the Department of Justice in the file and having regard to all relevant factors, it is of the view that three judges are suitable for being appointed as permanent judges.
The collegium has also carefully scrutinized the material placed on record including certian complaints made against these judges.
Justices Irshad Ali and Neeraj Tiwari were appointed judges of the High Court of Allahabad in September 2017 while Virendra Kumar in 2016.IANS
