05-September-2019
Four men were arrested in the Bindapur area of Dwarka, West Delhi, last week for random firing and injuring one person, the police said on Thursday.
Three pistols and 13 live cartridges were recovered from the accused, identified as Pawan (22), Vishal (23), Parveen (22) and Kishan (23).
"On August 29 at 3.30 a.m, four masked assailants fired at a person, identified as Sunny. They fired another shot in the air. The victim was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital," said Anto Alphonse, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka).
The four accused were arrested after the police analysed footage of over 100 CCTVs in the area.
During the interrogation, they revealed that they would go on a joyride late night and target victims on street. In this incident, they fired at Sunny just to practice their firing skill. They also revealed that the weapon was provided by Amir, presently lodged in Tihar Jail, he added.IANS
