Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday extended her greetings to all students and teachers on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
"Our teachers are true nation builders, because it is the teachers who have a very important responsibility to shape the future of our country and show the right path of honesty. Teachers teach the character of nation love, hard work, perseverance and guide the character of our next generation and the future children of the country," Gandhi said in a statement.
"Teachers instill hope in their students, ignite imagination and increase the urge to learn. They are the ones who inspire the students to face the challenges of life, so we will always be indebted to the teachers for their hard work and contribution in nation building," she said. IANS
