Heroin worth Rs 8 cr seized in Kolkata, two held

Kolkata Police on Tuesday arrested two persons with 2.147 kilograms of heroin with an approximate value of Rs 8 crore, an officer said.
According to the police, the Special Task Force, working on a tip-off, arrested Joygopal Debnath (34) and Hussain Ahmed (40) from the Canal East Road and recovered 2.147 kilograms of heroin. Both the arrested hail from Tinsukia district Assam.
"The seized drug is valued around Rs 8 crore," the officer said. IANS
