23-August-2019
A 22-year-old man, who was recently released from jail, was arrested on charges of snatching and car theft in Dwarka.
Police claimed to have solved five cases with his arrest. The accused was identified as Vishal who was previously involved in five cases of snatching and auto-lifting.
"One country-made pistol along with two bullets, four stolen mobiles and one stolen motorcycle have been recovered from his possession," said the police.
A senior police official said, following a tip off on Thursday a trap was laid at Dwarka-Matiyala road where Vishal was spotted on a two-wheeler. He tried to escape but was nabbed.
He was jailed in 2017 for his involvement in theft cases and was released from jail in December 2018. After coming out of jail on bail he again started committing crimes.
