Politician among 5 killed in Pakistan firing

A convoy of a political leader came under attack in Pakistan's Balochistan province on Saturday, leaving at least five people dead including the politician.
According to reports, unknown gunmen on motorcycles opened indiscriminate fire on the convoy of Nawab Amanullah Zahri, a leader of the Balochistan National Party, when it was passing through the Zehri area of Khuzdar, a district in the province.
The police said the politician was the target of the miscreants, adding that a grandson of Zahri who was present in one of the vehicles of the convoy also got killed in the incident, Xinhua news agency reported.
The attackers fled the scene after the attack. No group has taken responsibility. IANS
