Delhi police arrests company official for swindling Rs 345 cr

The Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Saturday said it has arrested Awanish Kumar Mishra, said to be a top official of Allied Finance company for alleged misappropriation of funds to the tune of Rs 345 crore.
A senior EOW official told IANS, "Mishra was arrested on the complaint of Dalmia Cements Limited regarding allegations of misappropriation of funds to the tune of Rs 345 crore."
The official said Mishra had forged the signatures of the authorised signatories of the complainant company to carry out the fraud.
The EOW had registered a case under the sections of criminal conspiracy, cheating and fraud against Mishra earlier this year.
The official said Mishra is being interrogated by the EOW officials and will be produced before the court later in the day. IANS
