7 crushed to death in UP accident

Seven persons, including a few kanwariyas and two children, were crushed to death early on Tuesday when a truck laden with wheat bags overturned on them. Six persons were also injured.
According to reports, the incident took place in Harora village.
A group of kanwariyas were walking in the middle of the road with a DJ playing loud music. The driver of the truck coming from behind apparently lost control of the wheel which led to the accident, Usawan police circle official said.
Some kanwariyas and people at a shop nearby were crushed. Locals immediately started the rescue operation. As the police rushed to the spot they brought in a crane to remove the wheat bags and the truck.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each for the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each for those injured. IANS
