28-November-2014
A 25-year-old domestic help was beaten to death by her employer in west Delhi, police said Friday.
The accused woman is now missing and on the run, police said.
Mumtaz Begum's body was brought to a hospital Thursday evening in Rajouri Garden by Pooja Kapoor, her employer. Begum had injury marks on her body, police said.
When the doctors inquired about the marks, Kapoor left the hospital. The doctors called and informed police about the incident.
Police said they could not find Kapoor after reaching her house.
A neighbour told police that Kapoor often beat Begum, who was employed five months ago as a domestic help in the house. She lived alone in her house.
Police said a case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against Kapoor. - IANS
