Maoists' arms making unit busted in Bihar

An arms manufacturing unit of Maoists was Thursday busted and a cache of sophisticated weapons seized by security forces in Bihar's Munger district, police said.
"It is the first time security forces have busted an arms manufacturing unit being operated by Maoists in the state," state police chief P.K. Thakur said.
Munger Superintendent of Police Barun Kumar Sinha said police and paramilitary personnel seized 16 sophisticated 7.65 mm automatic pistols, 70 magazines and a large number of gun-making tools from the site in the densely forested Sugaun hills.
Police said the clientele of Munger's illegal firearms industry includes criminals from at least nine Indian states and even terrorist organisation Indian Mujahideen. - IANS
