Around 3.52 lakh candidates have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Around 23.77 lakh candidates had appeared in the examination.
Human Resource Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' said here on Tuesday the results were declared 23 days after the examination.
"Results of CTET conducted by @cbseindia29 in July are live now. I congratulate CBSE for declaring results in 23 days record time. My congratulations to all successful candidates," the minister tweeted.
The 12th CTET was conducted by the CBSE on July 7 at 2942 centres in 104 cities across the country. The candidates' marksheets have been uploaded on the CBSE website.
"Of the 3.52 lakh candidates, 2.15 lakh qualified in Paper -1 (for teaching in grades 1-5 in primary schools), and 1.37 lakh qualified in Paper-2 (for teaching in grades 6-8 in upper primary school)," CBSE said in a statement.
The CBSE will provide CTET marksheets to all candidates and eligibility certificates to successful candidates in digital format in their DigiLocker account. The CTET scores are valid for seven years.
The CTET is conducted to certify eligibility of candidates to be appointed as teachers at primary and upper primary level. IANS
