Lalji Tandon takes oath as MP Governor

The newly appointed Governor of Madhya Pradesh Lalji Tandon took oath on Monday at a function at Raj Bhavan in the state capital here.
The oath was administered by acting Chief Justice of the High Court R S Jha.
After the oath ceremony, Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Assembly Speaker N P Prajapati, Opposition leader Gopal Bhargava and many other leaders greeted him. The ceremony was attended by the state ministers, leaders of the BJP and the Congress, and several prominent personalities of the state.
Lalji Tandon was the Governor of Bihar before being moved to Madhya Pradesh.
Anandi Ben Patel, who was the Madhya Pradesh Governor earlier, has been appointed Governor of Uttar Pradesh. IANS
