One dies in collision between bus, van

The driver of a van which was hit by a speeding bus here in Uttar Pradesh was killed on Thursday, police said.

The private bus was going from Ambedkar Nagar to Lucknow. The accident took place near Jalalpur, killing the driver of the other vehicle on the spot. Several others were injured, police officer Ram Lakhan Patel said.

According to witnesses, the bus was being driven on the wrong side and it fell into a trench after the accident. IANS
