Charge of luring Congress MLAs with money baseless: Nadda
14-July-2019
BJP working President J.P.Nadda on Sunday refuted allegations that his party was luring Congress legislators with money.
"The allegations that the BJP is luring Congress legislators with money are baseless. Congress MLAs are only following in the footsteps of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who has resigned from his position after the Lok Sabha poll results," said Nadda at a press conference here. The BJP leader is on a two-day visit to the state
Asked if defection by Congress members was part of the BJP's 'Congress-mukt Bharat' (Congress-free India) plan, he said: "Congress-mukt Bharat means the end of Congress culture -- corruption, and dynasty and vote bank politics. The Narendra Modi government has achieved it."
On reports of cricketer M.S.Dhoni joining the BJP, Nadda said: "We welcome every section of the society in our party."
On rising incidents of mob lynching, the saffron party chief said: "No one has the right to take law in his hands. The BJP believes in the politics of 'sabka saath, sabka vikas and sabka vishwas'". IANS
