Senior IPS Officer in Delhi shifted to Arunanchal

Senior IPS officer Madhur Verma who is face of Delhi Police as spokesperson and Deputy Commissioner of Police of VVIP New Delhi district, has been transferred to Arunanchal Pradesh, an official order of Home Ministry said on Thursday.
The MHA order said, Madhur Verma 'stands relieved' with effect from July 11 to join his new posting at Arunanchal Pradesh.
A 2005 batch IPS officer, Verma has served as DCP in the Crime Branch and DCP in North district earlier.
Known as one of the brilliant officers in Delhi Police, Verma was involved in sensational case in which a woman working in a Gurugram MNC was allegedly raped by Uber cab driver in 2014. He was also involved in probing the case of AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran's arrest in the 'two leaves' symbol.
A few months ago Verma was accused of slapping a traffic inspector in New Delhi district. But Verma denied the allegation. IANS
