Pilot dies after fighter jet crashed in Thailand

A pilot was killed and another injured after a fighter jet crashed in Thailand's Chiang Mai province, according to the Thai air force on Thursday.
Air force spokesman said the plane with two pilots on board crashed during a training session, reported Xinhua news agency.
According to the spokesman, the Aero-L39 Albatros training jet was based in Chiang Mai's 411 Air Squadron base.
The plane's engine malfunctioned when the accident happened.
It was the second jet fighter crash since 2017 when a Gripen jet crashed during a Children's Day airshow in front of hundreds of observers, killing one pilot. IANS
