11 students killed in accident in J&K's Mughal Road

Eleven students of a private computer training institute were killed while seven others were injured on Thursday in a road accident on Mughal Road in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
Police sources said 11 students, including nine girls, were killed and seven were injured when a vehicle carrying the students of a private computer training institute on excursion went out of control near Pir Ki Gali on Mughal Road and plunged into a deep gorge.
"A rescue operation was launched immediately. The injured have been shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for treatment," the sources said.
The Mughal Road connects Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu division with the Valley. Due to heavy snowfall, the road remains closed during the winter months. IANS
