22-June-2019
National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Dobhal on Saturday was given a traditional welcome to his native village Gheedi in Pauri district of Uttarakhand where he organized a 'puja' of his 'kul devtas'.
Accompanied by his wife and a son on a personal visit, Dobhal also visited the local temple at Gheedi where he offered prayers.
A large number of villagers turned up to greet Dhobal and his family members amidst the drum beats. They exchanged pleasantries also.
Dobhal had arrived at the district headquarters Pauri on Friday and reached his village on Saturday morning. Tight security arrangements had been made in the village, police sources said.
Later in the afternoon, the NSA left for New Delhi after the completion of puja. In 2014 also, Dhobal had visited Gheedi and performed 'puja'. IANS
