Man arrested for molesting minor inside Fort William

 A man has been arrested for allegedly molesting a minor girl inside Fort William, the headquarters of the Indian Army's Eastern Command, here, officials said on Wednesday.

Sagar Mallick, a relative of a group D staff in the AOI Club inside Fort William, allegedly molested the 12-year-old girl on June 15 inside the campus. He was arrested the next day, a defence spokesperson said.

"Mallick, a relative of AOI employee Raja Mallick, was staying in the latter's house inside Fort William when the incident took place," the spokesperson said.

Police said Mallick has been charged under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and sent to police custody till June 24. IANS
