The Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Monday thanked people for extending support to the doctors' strike in the country even as it asserted the fight was not over.
"We thank all the citizens of India for coming in huge numbers to support the healthcare professionals. The fight is not over yet, a law for the protection of doctors is the need of the hour," IMA tweeted.
The tweet came after the doctors in West Bengal said they looked forward to withdraw the ongoing agitation following their meeting with state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday. IANS
