CRPF trooper killed, 6 injured in Anantnag militant attack

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper was killed and six, including five security personnel and a civilian, were injured in a militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Wednesday afternoon.
Police sources said two masked militants in a car attacked a joint party of local police and the CRPF in K.P.Road area of Anantnag.
"One CRPF jawan was killed in the attack while six others, including five security men and a civilian, were injured. The injured security personnel also included one Station House officer (SHO).
"The militants have been engaged in a sustained encounter at the site of the attack. Firing exchanges are on. Reinforcements have been rushed to the spot," police sources said. IANS
