Street puppy adoption camp in Bangalore
15-December-2012
Stray Pals, a project of Radio Active CR 90.4 MHz- Bangalore’s first community radio station, is organizing a Street Puppy Adoption Camp on Saturday, 15th December 2012 from 11.00am to 4.00pm at Jain University, JC Road Campus, near Bangalore Stock Exchange.
The program is being organized in association with Precious Paws Foundation, Samarpan Foundation, The Golden Husk, Jain University, Pedigree, Wags & Wiggles, Angels for ABC and Sarvodya Sevabhavi Samstha.
The organizers said: “Keeping in with the Christmas spirit of giving and accepting, the adoption camp will echo the Yuletide theme. We invite animal lovers and well wishers to come in and participate to encourage adoption of community dogs.”
“As per WHO, the ratio of street dogs to humans is 1 is to 120. So assuming one individual from the hundred comes forward to adopt a single dog, the problem of dogs on the street can be easily solved. We appeal to those one in the hundred to visit our camp”, says Poornima Harish, co-organizer of the Camp.
