Delhi Police constable shot dead

A Delhi Police constable was shot dead by unidentified men near his residence here Monday, police said.
Shivraj Singh, 45, had just left his home in Jyoti Nagar area of east Delhi around noon to meet someone when two men came riding a motorcycle, opened fire at him and fled.
Singh, who was hit by a bullet in the chest, was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.
An eyewitness told police that the two men came on motorcycle and had a heated exchange with Singh before they opened fire. Police said they suspect personal enmity but are investigating other motives as well.
Singh is survived by wife and a son. - IANS
