Rs 1 crore unaccounted cash seized in Kolkata, 3 held

Kolkata Police seized unaccounted cash worth more than Rs. one crore and arrested three persons in two separate raids in the city, a senior officer said on Wednesday.
"Two persons named Kunal Kumar (29) and Rahul Kumar (27), both residents of Bihar, were arrested with unaccounted cash worth Rs 65 lakh from central Kolkata's Mir Bhahar Road and Strand Road crossing at around 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday," Joint Commissioner of Police (crime) Praveen Tripathi told IANS.
In another incident, a Kolkata resident named Mohan Agarwal (29) was arrested with unaccounted cash worth Rs 35.5 lakh from Strand Road, the officer said.
Cases have been registered against the three accused in the Burrabazar Police Station under charges of theft (IPC 379) and various sections of the CrPC.
