Six killed in Maharashtra road accident

Six persons were killed and 2 injured in a collision involving two cars and a motorcycle, near Amboli village, here on Friday evening, police said.
The crash of the three vehicles, including a Swift and Polo cars was so severe that one of the two motorcycle riders and two others in the cars were killed on the spot.
The victims are identified as: Navnath R. Navle, 25, Bhagwat D. Jadhav, 54, Dilip M. Chandane, 30, Pratibha P. Shah, 70, Rakesh P. Shah, 60, Akash A. Chavan, 35.
The injured - Jindal H. Shah, 22 and Naresh N. Supe, have been admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
The victims hailed from Thane, Raigad and Mumbai and further investigation into the cause of the mishap, which occurred around 4.30 pm, is under way, said a Palghar police spokesperson. IANS
