18 trapped in Chennai building collapse

At least 18 people were reported trapped when a 12-storey under-construction building collapsed here Saturday, officials said.

The incident took place in the city's Porur area.

A fire service official said one woman was rescued but at least 18 other people were reportedly trapped under the debris.

Rescue operations were on, he added. - IANS
