NIA raids homes of JeM men in J&K
27-February-2019
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday raided the houses of some active Jaish-e-Mohammad militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Awantipora area, police sources said.
The counter-terrorism agency assisted by the state police and Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) searched the houses of Mudasir Khan and Manzoor Malik in Awantipora.
The NIA also carried out searches at the house of Sajad Ahmad in Marhama village. Ahmad had provided his car to the JeM suicide bomber, who carried out the February 14 Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF troopers were killed.
The NIA had carried out similar raids at several places on Tuesday, including at the residence of senior separatist leaders like Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and JKLF chief Yasin Malik.
