Seven killed in Agra-Lucknow Expressway accident

Seven people were killed and two dozen injured in a road accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on Thursday, police said.
The mishap took place in Unnao when a truck filled with iron pipes overturned and a bus rammed into it from the rear. Two other cars were also hit in the accident.
The critically injured have been rushed to the trauma centre at KMU in Lucknow.
Police said the truck turtled at high speed and the pipes loaded in it spilled over on to the road. A bus (UP 84 AN 1939) which was coming from behind lost control owing to the pipes scattered on the road and hit the divider before ramming into the truck near Ranikheda village.
Police Officer Sanjeev Yadav said that seven person died on the spot while the truck driver fled the crime scene. The bus had 50 passengers and was going to Bihar.-IANS
